@Theonegamefreak here’s a video. w w w. youtube .com / watch?v = ee G5a DIubMo Can’t post url’s on Youtube comments.
To run the game, go to vars-link, scroll down to the mario folder, open it up, then find something that says “mario” PRGM 61, press enter, then it should take you to the home screen where you close the parentheses and press enter once more.
It’s amazing that a $10 mircoprocessor can accomplish so much. Back when I was in the Navy, I got to work with the 68000 in various electronics, and it’s amazing
my algebra 2 teacher wouldn’t let me use this at first, but for some reason, now that i’m in pre-cal I can. Probably because not many people have any idea how to use this.
Of course, I’ve restored a few of those Macintoshes. The Original, the 512k, the Plus, the SE, and the Classic all had the 68000. The Amiga and the later model Atari Computers also used them. The Sega Genesis is a good example of a game system that used it. It was a great cpu in its day.
@ginteardrops Most college courses let you use these, unless a math class wants you to do something that can be done in a tenth of the time on the calc and is a core math skill, like differentiation or integration. Other classes like Thermodynamics and Electrical engineering courses really require you to have these.
@badguy66626 yes and no… don’t get lazy with this calculator. Most teachers won’t allow them on exams in higher levels. Lower level classes they may not care. Depends.

@PianoScience Yeah.. my problem is when I put the files to the explorer, it doesn’t all go in a mario folder. So it’s all in main.

@PianoScience Yeah. I found the 68k but.. how do you install it on an 89?
I did what I think the instructions told me to do and when I go runmario it doesn’t run.
Oh, it’s supposed to be in a Mario folder.. but when I put the files to the calculator it didn’t make a folder called mario like it was supposed to.

@akwlb2 :
The readme that comes with the game explains it all.
Make sure you have sent all the files, archive all the files and it will run.

@Scioneer Yes they do. Computers like the original Macintosh had one of those inside it.

These still have Motorola 68000′s in them right? If they do then thats one reason why the 89 blows the other Z80 based calcs out of the water.
